Darius Slayton Gives Hilarious Response To A Young Fan’s Artwork

Second-year Wide receiver Darius Slayton and Daniel Jones couldn’t seem to get on the same page on Monday Night. In fact, Jones threw four deep balls to Slayton on routes where he had his defender burnt. However, each of those times Jones missed a wide-open Slayton. A couple of those likely would have gone for six if completed, too. Despite a tough loss to Tampa Bay, a young New York Giants fan had some kind words for Slayton. His words were accompanied by some nice fan art. Slayton offered a hilarious response to the young fan’s artwork. Check it out below.

Slayton’s response to Jack was lighthearted and it put a smile on his face, but that doesn’t erase the inevitable loss. The Giants definitely had their chances against the Bucs on Monday Night Football. I think they shocked the world by taking the game down to the wire in the manner that they did. Darius Slayton and Daniel Jones did connect on five receptions for 56 yards, but that yard total could’ve easily entered the triple digits if Jones was able to connect on even just one of those deep balls to Slayton.

Darius Slayton took responsibility for the loss and his lack of chemistry with Daniel Jones. “Each play is different, but just got to hit them,” Slayton said on making those connections with Jones. “. … At the end of the day, it’s my job to get open, and when he does put the ball in my vicinity, it’s my job to catch it. So as far as helping [Jones] that’s how I can help him better.”

The crazy part, or maybe not, is that the Giants are just two games behind the Eagles for the NFC East with only a single win on the season. The division is still wide open. There is nowhere to go but up for the Giants and they proved they can make some noise against a good team. If Danny Dimes and Darius Slayton can develop some chemistry who knows where the Giants will rank in the NFC least come January. We know Slayton has got at least one fan rooting for him.
