Dak Prescott suffered a compound ankle fracture and dislocation in Sunday’s loss to the New York Giants. He was carted off the field and taken to a local hospital where he was scheduled for surgery that same evening.
Cowboys QB Dak Prescott is expected to miss the remainder of season with a right ankle compound fracture and dislocation. He is at hospital, awaiting surgery. Procedure tonight. Coach Mike McCarthy: "I just feel terrible for him. He was having a tremendous year."

Prescott, his coaches, teammates and even the Giants were visibly shaken by the injury.

It’s reasonable to expect a four- to six-month timetable for recovery with this injury, a source told The Dallas Morning News. You know Dak is going to work his tail off to get back to where he needs to be.
As far as injuries go, it’s not the worst.
