Colin Cowherd Says Deshaun Watson And The Jets Are “Match Made In Heaven”

Deshaun Watson will have a lot of suitors if he is, indeed, put on the trading block. The star quarterback has been reported to want out of Houston, as the relationship with Texans owner Cal McNair is broken beyond repair. So far, the Dolphins, 49ers and Panthers have been considered the heavy favorites to land Deshaun Watson if he hits the block. However, FS1’s Colin Cowherd has another team in mind and he’s getting New York Jets fans excited about the idea.

Cowherd revealed on his show today that he thinks it would make all the sense in the world if Deshaun Watson ends up with the New York Jets.

“The New York Jets, make a move and get Deshaun Watson,” Cowherd said during his show on Tuesday. “The move is perfect. The Jets have five first round picks because of the Jamal Adams trade. They could give four of them away, that’s what Houston wants.

Look, there are plenty of teams that would pounce at the opportunity to land a talent like Deshaun Watson. What this will come down to (if he doesn’t stay in Houston) will be which team can offer up the best assets. I’m with Cowherd on this one…that team could be the New York Jets.

I’d like to see Deshaun Watson go somewhere where he’ll have more of a chance to win a Super Bowl next season, though. I’m sure he would too.
