Colin Cowherd Predicts That Bill Belichick Will Coach The Jaguars

There has been a lot of speculation about Bill Belichick’s future over the past few weeks. Would the Patriots trade him? Does he want out? Where would he go next?

Add FS1 analyst Colin Cowherd to the list of media pundits who want to place Belichick elsewhere. Cowherd’s prediction? Bill Belichick will be the next head coach of the Jacksonville Jaguars. Here was his take.

“Belichick’s got nothing to prove,” Cowherd says. “If he’s looking for power and a young quarterback, Jacksonville is made for him. Belichick has had enough of Nantucket and Boston winners. His beautiful girlfriend? I think they’d love to live on the beach.”

I enjoy Colin Cowherd. I really do. I think he’s funny, in kind of a quirky way. Sometimes his takes are a bit much, though. This one seems a little bit too out of left field for me.

Everyone wants to write Belichick out of Boston. I don’t think he’s going anywhere. Bill Belichick will make it his mission to win a Super Bowl with the Patriots on his own. Without Tom Brady. I think that’s his goal. It might take him a while to build this roster back up to an elite level, but I think he’s made for that challenge. We’ll see.
