Cristiano Ronaldo could be headed back to where it all started. According to Fox America’s Christian Martin, Juventus could be open to selling Ronaldo, and Manchester United is already interested.

Ronaldo will have just one year left on his five-year contract come this summer. If Juventus wants to get a leg up on life without Cristiano Ronaldo, they could free up a lot of money to send him away. Ronaldo would still have to sign off on the deal, but he’s reportedly already considering it.

Another snag in this potential deal is where Manchester United sits in the standings. Even if Cristiano Ronaldo wants to return to Manchester United, he also wants to win. If Manchester United cannot make the Champions League, that could be a dagger for their hopes to land Ronaldo. Ronaldo is at a point in his life where he values trophies more than anything, and he’s not looking to waste a year. We’ll see how this all plays out.
