Denny Hamlin Apologizes, Gets Ordered To Sensitivity Training Over ‘Insensitive’ Tweet

NASCAR’s Denny Hamlin found himself in a bit of trouble this week.

After fellow driver Kyle Larson took out both members of his 23X1 team (that he co-owns with Michael Jordan) at the Talladega race last weekend, Hamlin used a somewhat questionable Family Guy clip to throw shade at Larson.

Now, Denny Hamlin is facing the music.

After receiving backlash on the post trolling Kyle Larson, Hamlin apologized and deleted the tweet.

Nascar is also reprimanding Denny Hamlin.

Because he used the clip, Hamlin has been ordered by the organization to complete a sensitivity training course.

The clip Denny Hamlin used contained some stereotypes of Asians. And being as Kyle Larson’s mother is Asian-American, many were quick to draw the line.

So far, Hamlin has won one race on the season, but both of the 23X1 drivers have yet to take home a checkered flag.

We’ll see if anymore punishments get handed down to Denny Hamlin.
