Report: Kawhi Leonard And Paul George Expected To Return For Playoffs

Could the Clippers be getting Kawhi Leonard and Paul George back sooner than we all expected?

All season long, we’ve been under the assumption that the Clippers were likely to be without their All-Star duo for the remainder of the season. But now, LA fans have a glimmer of hope.

During his podcast, The Ringer’s Bill Simmons let it slip that he believes we could be seeing Paul George and Kawhi Leonard back on the floor together.

The quote comes around the 1:51:30 mark of the podcast, Simmons makes his declaration on the Clippers’ injured stars.

“I think some guys might be coming back,” Simmons said. “I wouldn’t be shocked if they just had a full team for Round One.”

Things have been awfully quiet around Kawhi Leonard. But last week, a video of Paul George draining pull up jumpers went viral, as it’s also been reported that he’s going through extensive workouts again.

Without Paul Geroge and Kawhi Leonard, the Clippers have surpassed many by remaining competitive.

They’re currently 36-29, and would be in the play-in tournament if the season were to end today. Obviously, they’d be taken a hell of a lot more seriously if they were to get just one of their stars back.

But if all the sudden we get to the playoffs and the Clippers are bringing back Kawhi Leonard AND Paul George, things would get a lot more interesting in the Western Conference.

We’ll continue to track updates on the progress on LA’s two superstars.
