Kyrie Irving was back in Boston last night.
It’s been two seasons since Kyrie Irving left Boston in free agency to sign with the Nets, and Celtics fans still remember how he did them dirty.
Kyrie was back in Boston on Sunday for the Nets’ 126-120 loss at TD Garden. Irving upset plenty of Celtics fans after he stomped on the midcourt logo last year.
Celtics fans erupted in a “Kyrie sucks” chant late in the game. Jayson Tatum even tried to get them to stop. Irving could be seen laughing about the chant.

Following the game, Irving had his own response to the treatment he received from the Boston fans.

Kyrie said:
“It’s like the scorned girlfriend, wants an explanation on why I left but still hoping for a text back.”
Kyrie did say that he valued his time in Boston and still has a good relationship with plenty of the players.
There’s no doubt Celts fans will be ready for Kyrie the next time he comes to town.
