Carson Wentz appears to be headed to the quarterback market, yet again.
The veteran QB moved from Philly to Indianapolis after last season. And after faltering late in the year, Wentz and the Colts lost to the Jaguars in Week 18 — which proved to be the difference-maker for their playoff chances.
According to a report, the Colts are now preparing to release or trade Carson Wentz before his contract becomes guaranteed in March.
There's a belief that #Colts QB Carson Wentz will "'probably" be traded or released before March 19th, per @mortreport. That's when $15M in base salary becomes guaranteed. His future in Indianapolis looks "bleak."

Carson Wentz was wildly mediocre during his one season in Indy. But his inability to win the big game or protect the football proved to be costly down the stretch.
On the year, Wentz threw for 3,563 yards to go along with 27 touchdowns and seven interceptions.
To me, the Colts better have a contingency plan in place before moving off of Carson Wentz. They certainly don’t have an adequate replacement in-house. But perhaps they’ll look to find a franchise QB via trade or the upcoming NFL Draft.
It’ll be interesting to see if another NFL team will give the QB another shot to start prior to the 2022-23 season.
