If you have ever tried to hit a curve whiffle ball, you know just how difficult it can be.

Even the best major league sluggers can have issues handling the whiffle ball curve.

Bautista last played in the majors in 2018.

You can obviously curve a whiffle ball way more than a real baseball.

That would be difficult for anyone to hit without practice swinging at a ball that curves that quickly and without warning.
