Plenty of teams are in the market for a quarterback with the NFL Draft nearing on Thursday. Luckily for the the Baltimore Ravens, they’re not one of them. Baltimore is fortunate to have former MVP Lamar Jackson under center. Even so, NFL insider Bucky Brooks thinks the Ravens should ‘graduate’ Lamar Jackson, draft Justin Fields, and move on with their team.
“One quarterback graduates, the other quarterback steps into the starter’s role,” Brooks said. “You now have the opportunity to keep a starting quarterback potentially on a young deal, build up the rest of the assets, and then play smash-mouth football the way that they play and continue to build a better team around the quarterback. It’s something to think about.”

After the quote by Bucky Brooks has made its rounds, Lamar Jackson is finally responding.
“Bucky we can Box a lil bit I won’t buck,” Jackson said on Twitter.

Lamar Jackson seems like he isn’t taking this Bucky Brooks quote seriously, and he has no reason to. There is absolutely no scenario where the Ravens decide to move off of Lamar as their QB in 2021.
A lot of crazy takes come through the woodworks during the week of the NFL Draft. It’s almost a relief when the draft is over, teams have their rosters in place (for the most part), and it’s just time to get ready for Training Camp.
I’m sure Lamar Jackson is ready for that.
