The young Cuban will hope to improve on his numbers from last season. While the Chicago White Sox appear to be a contender in the American league, they’ll need Moncada to return to his 2019 form. Last season, he hit just .225 with six home runs in the COVID condensed season.

Now, many star players were just off last year. I’m not sure Moncada will match his 2019 season, when he hit .315 with 25 home runs and 79 RBIs but I’d feel pretty comfortable betting on him to hit above what he did last year. Even if he did spend his offseason making music videos with models.

Yoan Moncada might not be able to relate with his 76-year-old manager Tony La Russa, but he should be poised for an exciting year on an up-and-coming White Sox team nonetheless.
