Denny Hamlin Reacts To being Disqualified Following Pocono Win

Nascar star Denny Hamlin thought he had his third win of the season at the Pocono race yesterday, but it was not to be.

After beating the field across the finish line, Hamlin and his family immediately went into celebration mode, with Denny giving the checkered flag to his daughter Taylor, who was extremely ecstatic with the win.

However, Nascar ruled that both Denny Hamlin and Kyle Busch’s car failed post-race inspection, making Chase Elliott the winner instead.

Still, Denny Hamlin cherished the moment with his daughter, and he quickly took to social media to reveal that he had no plans of giving back the checkered flag.

It’s hard not to feel for Denny Hamlin, being as the infraction was likely brought on by something his pit crew did during the race, and not something he had any idea of.

But still, he has his two wins on the season, and will likely still hold a top spot once the playoffs roll around later in the year.

Denny Hamlin and his daughter will still have their moment at Pocono for the rest of their lives, even if Nascar isn’t going to deem him the actual winner of the race.
