Degen Bet Of The Day Update: Trump Signs Executive Order To Ban Tik-Tok, Tencent; Explodes Heads Of eSports Nerds Everywhere

A couple of days ago, we dug our degenerate paws into the entertainment field of betting by delving deeper into the futures wagering options surrounding Chinese-owned social media application Tik-Tok.

Yesterday, the President continued his killing spree on joy by signing into effect Executive Order to ban Tik-Tok, along with ever-the-more popular WeChat, which is owned by monster parent company Tencent Holdings.

While the existing betting lines for whether or not Tik-Tok will be purchased by Microsoft appear to still be intact, the mention of Tencent’s included condemnation alongside Tik-Tok developer ByteDance led to the immediate frantic result of League Of Legends fans’ reenacting a decrepit scene from Scanners.

*cue exploding brain matter*

As someone who sought refuge in the guilty pleasure of eSports betting since the start of the pandemic (particularly League Of Legends DFS), this pillaging of myΒ other pastime besides real sports DFS (the diverse multi-interest talent that I am) was a stance that sent myself and other nerds on Twitter reeling to worst case scenarios in our feebly threatened minds.
