Trey Lance’s Season Long Prop Bet Has Seen the Biggest Shift

Trey Lance is on the move.

And so are his prop bets. We’re less than a month away from the season officially beginning, and Trey Lance is set to take over the reigns in his first season as the 49ers’ starting quarterback. The Trey Lance hype train continues to gain steam and everyone is pretty enamored with his potential for this coming season. ESPN’s Bill Barnwell ranked the top candidates to rise as breakout stars in the 2022 NFL season. Trey Lance was slotted in the top tier, dubbed “bench to supernova” all by himself.

Most of the excitement for Lance is more about who his coach is. Since Kyle Shanahan took over the 49ers job back in 2017, the team arguably has unleashed the most creative offense in the league. Just look to Deebo Samuel last season as an example. Shanahan knows how to utilize his weapons. Bettors are equally excited about Trey Lance’s prospects. They’ve been betting big on his Prop for total rushing yards for the season.

Out of any season long prop bet, not one has seen a bigger shift than Lance’s rushing total.

See below:

Clearly bettors were super pumped about him rushing for more than 475.5 yards, and as a result, his total yardage continues to move up. Currently it sits at 625.5 yards, which will be no easy feat.

Last year’s leading rusher was Jalen Hurts, who rushed for the most yards by a quarterback in 2021, with 784 yards.

If you think Lance is going to rush for more than 625.5,  he’s certainly going to be on top of the QB rushing leaders.  Here’s last year’s top 4 QB rushers:

NAME SEASON RUSH YDS
Jalen Hurts 2021 784
Lamar Jackson 2021 767
Josh Allen 2021 763
Kyler Murray 2021 423

If Lance’s total number of rushing yards continues to rise, it means only one thing, bettors are still pumping him on the Over.  At a certain point it might be time to take the Under.

We’re not there quite yet, but it’s getting close.

Can’t wait to see Trey take over the offense in San Fran!
