Los Angeles Dodgers ace Clayton Kershaw was at the center of controversy on Wednesday.

For the first time in his career, Kershaw was starring a perfect game in the face. He had gone seven innings without allowing a baserunner, with only 80 pitches thrown, when manager Dave Roberts pulled the plug.

Roberts — realizing that his workhorse had an abbreviated Spring Training — took Kershaw out just six out shy of his first perfect game. The Dodgers skipper immediately became public enemy #1 after the move.

Despite the fans’ animosity towards Dave Roberts after the move, Clayton Kershaw actually said that he agreed with his manager’s decision.

Even if Clayton Kershaw says he agrees with Dave Roberts, it’s hard to imagine the left-hander isn’t a little bit upset deep down that he couldn’t finish what he started on Wednesday afternoon.

After all, Kershaw has accomplished basically everything during his illustrious career. He has the Cy Youngs, MVP, World Series, etc. But never has he been able to complete a perfect game.

Regardless, it would appear that Clayton Kershaw still has plenty left in his tank for the World Series favorite Dodgers going forward.
