It’s Aiden Hutchinson’s award to lose.

The Detroit Lions are pretty hyped about their new rookie defensive star Aiden Hutchinson, who if you’ve been watching the Detroit Lions on Hard Knocks, is a very entertaining guy away from the field. On the field he’s also pretty entertaining, and heading into the NFL season, the clear cut leader to win the Rookie of the Year award. According to Caesars Sportsbook reporter Max Meyer, Aidan Hutchinson is the +450 favorite to win Defensive Rookie of the Year, and currently is first in tickets (19.7%) and handle (21.8%).

Aidan Hutchinson has over twice as many tickets and over three times as much money as Kayvon Thibodeaux (+600) & Travon Walker (+850) combined. Hutchinson’s odds to win DROY are a little worse than they were a few weeks ago.

The Detroit Lions spent six of their eight 2022 draft picks on defense. The most notable of those was University of Michigan edge rusher Aidan Hutchinson, the No. 2 overall selection, who should make an immediate impact playing for his hometown team. The 6’7″, 260-pounder fills a huge need up front, as the Lions ranked 30th in the league in sacks last season.

Expect big things for Hutchinson,  anything less than Defensive Rookie of the Year will  be a disappointment.
