The Brittney Griner story just keeps getting worse.

This week, it has been revealed that Griner is finally going to face a hearing in Russia — where she was detained a while back after being found with hash oil in an airport.

Now, Brittney Griner’s wife, Cherelle, is opening up on how scared Brittney has been in recent days.

“She is a human,” Cherelle said to TMZ. “She’s struggling. She’s there, terrified. She’s there alone. I mean, even in America, if she was going through a legal proceeding, she wouldn’t be doing it alone.”

Earlier today, NBA player Victor Oladipo joined the waves of people calling for Brittney Griner to be brought home already.

“It’s really ridiculous that I’m still seeing posts about bringing Brittney Griner home,” Oladipo said on Twitter.

Still, reports are indicating that it could be over a year until Brittney Griner’s sentence in Russia is over. But hopefully, our government can do everything in its power to ensure she returns ASAP.

Enough is enough.
