Steve Kerr Has An Interesting Cross-Sport Comparison For Steph Curry

According to a report, some strategists floated the idea of Steve Kerr traveling to North Korea in 2012 to play leader Kim Jong-Un in a game of basketball

Steve Kerr arguably knows Steph Curry better than anyone at this point of their run together, but even he has to be in awe of what the point guard has been able to accomplish.

Riding Curry’s dominant performances, Kerr and the Warriors find themselves in position to take a 3-2 series lead against the Celtics in the finals tonight at home.

But along the way, Steve Kerr has made sure to give a whole bunch of credit to Curry. And when speaking recently, Kerr revealed that Steph reminds him of another athlete: tennis player Roger Federer.

“I think of Steph a lot when I think of that story from Roger Federer,” Kerr said. “Very, very similar just sort of zest for life and just joy for the process.”

After watching his 43 point performance during Game 4, Steph Curry admitted that he’s enjoying the ride.

“It’s cool,” Curry said on Sunday when I asked him what it was like to watch the footage of what he did Friday night. “There’s a lot of different emotions because usually you know the outcome of the game. It’s like watching the end of a movie. It’s always nice to know that the movie turns out great at the end.”

Still, the Celtics are intent on making sure Steph Curry doesn’t go off like that again in Game 5 tonight.

“He had a great Game (4), but also there was a lot of things that we could have done better as a group,” the Celtics’ Al Horford said. “We had a really good film session, and we’re expecting to have a much better game tomorrow.”
