Serena Williams is back on top of the sports world.

The tennis living legend scored a thrilling upset over No. 2 Anett Kontaveit in Round 2 of the 2022 US Open. Williams is playing in possibly the final Grand Slam event of her career. Williams dominated the third and final set, 6-2, after Kontaveit won by the same score in the second set. She came out firing in the third set, getting the first two games to go in her favor.

During the press conference after the three-set thriller, Serena Williams was asked about a bathroom break between her second-set loss and third-set resurgence that seemingly brought her new life.

“Yeah, no, I just got lighter,” Williams said with a chuckle.

“Use your imagination,” she added.

As members of the media began to laugh from the opposite side of the room, Williams quickly assured them that “it wasn’t number two.”

Check out the hilarious exchange from Serena and the media at the press conference below:

Williams will hope to prove she has still has some left in the tank in her third round matchup against Australia’s Ajla Tomljanovic, who beat Evgeniya Rodina in three sets at a separate court on Wednesday night.

Serena will play her third US Open match on this Friday, Sept. 2nd, at approximately 7 p.m. ET against Ajla Tomljanovi.

That’s must see TV.
