Zdeno Chara Absolutely Demolished A Flyers Player Who Made The Poor Decision To Challenge Him To A Fight

The NHL community is buzzing after 44-year-old Zdeno Chara dominated a young Flyers forward who had the guts to try to fight the monster defenseman

At 44-year-old, Zdeno Chara still has what it takes to absolutely own any feeble player stupid enough to challenge him to a fight.

In the third period of the Islanders-Flyers game on Tuesday night, Flyers forward Zack MacEwen tried to lure Chara into a fight. And the massive defenseman proceeded to mop the floor with the young Flyers player.

Zdeno Chara used a flurry of jabs to startle MacEwen before the refs finally came in to bail him out.

After the brawl, NHL fans from all over took to social media to troll Zack MacEwen for making such a poor decision to take on the legend in a fight.

All jokes aside, props to Zack MacEwen for having the guts to take on the tall task of fighting Zdeno Chara. Throughout his career, Chara has been known as one of the nastiest and most effective defensemen in the league. And even though his game isn’t what it used to be, it appears Chara can still take care of business in a fight.

The Flyers-Islanders game would go on to end in dramatic fashion, with the Islanders beating the Flyers in a lengthy shootout.

For now, it’s unclear how much longer Zdeno Chara plans to continue his NHL career. But we’ll marvel at his ability to continue to lace em’ up and give it everything he’s got while he’s still pummeling opponents.
