BYU quarterback Zach Wilson sounds like a guy who is very confident he’ll be drafted by the New York Jets at the #2 overall pick in next week’s draft. The shifty QB is even starting to do him homework on what it means to be a Jet.

According to a report, Zach Wilson is calling former Jets quarterbacks Chad Pennington, Mark Sanchez, and Josh McCown and asking what it’s like to play for the team. He wants to know about the fans, the history, and the media prior to getting drafted.

I don’t hate this move by Zach Wilson, but it comes off a bit cocky. Maybe he’s already been told by the Jets that they’re taking him, or maybe he just feels that it’s a foregone conclusion that he’ll be drafted by the team.

Either way, it’s probably fair game for Jets fans to start buying Zach Wilson jerseys. The guy is about to have the keys to the Jets’ castle handed to him, and he knows it.
