William Gallas is clearly not a fan of Mikel Arteta. And he’s not minced words putting it forward.
The former Arsenal defender is urging the club to swing the axe on the Gunners manager following the club’s run of unimpressive results.
It is looking really bad Arsenal have not won in six league games, isn’t it?

Anyway, Gallas thinks Arteta’s to be blamed.
“I think maybe the issue at the moment is that Mikel Arteta is not the right manager,” Gallas told Ladbrokes.
“For me he doesn’t have that experience to manage a big club. I was surprised when he came in, to be honest – even as Pep Guardiola’s assistant – you need experience as a manager to come in to a club like Arsenal.
Gallas wants Vieira to take over
So rather than having Arteta stick around for much longer, Gallas wants Patrick Vieira to take over the helm at the Emirates Stadium.
“When they chose Mikel Arteta to come in and replace Unai Emery, in my mind Patrick Vieira was the name I thought they should have gone for.
“I don’t know how close he was or if he was in the running at all, but I was surprised they didn’t even mention his name. Patrick has more experience
than Mikel, because he’s managed in America and he spent time at Nice.
“If they have to sack Mikel Arteta, they have to choose Patrick Vieira to replace him, and I’m sure all the fans would love it.”

Exceptionally good PR stuff for Vieira from Gallas there. Will this in any way, prove efficient in bowling over the Arsenal board? Not certain, I think.
Can the appointment of Vieira bring about a change of fortunes at the Emirates either? That is still also in the melting pot. Maybe Gallas might have a thing or two to say about devotion on the part of the players.
