Wayne Gretzky Has The Perfect Reaction To Leaving The Oilers To Be An Analyst

04 June 2012: Former LA Kings player #99 Wayne Gretzky drops the game puck at center ice prior to game 3 of the Stanley Cup Final between the New Jersey Devils and the Los Angeles Kings at Staples Center in Los Angeles, California.

Wayne Gretzky shocked the NHL world when he announced that he was leaving his role as vice chairman of the Edmonton Oilers, effective immediately. The initial speculation was that Gretzky was interested in becoming a hockey analyst for TNT.

Sure enough, it was confirmed that Gretzky is all set to become the newest part of the TNT sports team.

On Wednesday morning, Gretzky used his infamous quote to explain why he was decided to leave a prominent position to become an analyst.

Even in his old age, Wayne Gretzky still carries himself like a f**king legend. I can’t wait to hear him talk about hockey on a regular basis come next season.

Something tells me “The Great One” will be phenomenal in his new gig.
