Washington Football Team Reportedly Interested In Mitchell Trubisky

Chicago Bears quarterback Mitchell Trubisky was an utter disappointment in the Windy City.

After being famously drafted ahead of Deshaun Watson and Patrick Mahomes in the 2017 Draft, Trubisky has failed to lead the Bears offense to success. Trubisky was carried to the playoffs by an elite Bears defense in 2018. However, now that the D has digressed a bit, the Bears offense under Trubisky has proved to be too weak to overcome.

After experimenting with Nick Foles last season, the Bears will likely try to fill their QB void with someone outside the organization once again. This means Trubisky will be looking for another home.

According to reports, he may have a potential suitor with the Washington Football Team.

Honestly, I don’t really hate the Trubisky move if I’m the Washington Football Team. Sure, he’s a limited QB. But Washington proved they can be competitive with a one-legged Alex Smith last season. Their roster is ready to be competitive, they just need a QB to come in and not screw everything up. Maybe Mitchell Trubisky could be that guy.

Trubisky may be enticing to Washington because he’s everything Dwayne Haskins is not. He works his tail off, says all the right things, and was always well-respected in the Bears locker room.

A change of scenery is beyond necessary for Mitchell Trubisky, and maybe he’d be able to revitalize his NFL career in Washington.
