Even if Ben Simmons won’t be playing in his return to Philadelphia tonight, he’s still expected to hear it from the Philly faithful.

The Nets’ newest addition made the trip out to Philly (to the surprise of some) in order to take in the action at his former home arena in Philadelphia.

And as the Nets were leaving their hotel in Philadelphia, Ben Simmons expected that some unruly fans would be out there waiting for him. So he took boarded the bus, Simmons snuck through his teammates while being serenaded by some of Philly’s finest.

Check it out:

Before the homecoming, Nets head coach Steve Nash spoke on Ben Simmons’ mindset heading into the place where he’s so hated by so many fans.

“He’s a big boy, he’ll be fine and he’s excited to join our team,” Nash said, via the New York Post. “He wants to be there on the bench with his teammates.”

So far, Ben Simmons has not suited up for the Nets. But he better be ready to take in some next-level taunts every time he steps foot in Philly for the rest of his career.
