Urban Meyer Reportedly Threatens to Fire Anonymous Leaker

According to Rick Stroud of The Tampa Bay Times, Urban Meyer's lawyer was involved in some threats in relation to the story of Meyer kicking Josh Lambo

Urban Meyer is not about the anonymous leaker spilling the beans to the press.

The Jacksonville Jaguars Head Coach was asked Sunday about how to fix the team after its 20-0 loss to the Titans. The coach admitted that he didn’t know the answer, but he expressed disdain for leaks that have come out of the organization in recent days.

“What’s the answer? Starting leaking some information or nonsense? That’s garbage,” Meyer said, per SI.com’s Albert Breer. “If there is a source, then that source is unemployed. I mean, within seconds.”

Most recently, an anonymous source spoke to NFL Network’s Tom Pelissero about a staff meeting during which Meyer supposedly insulted his assistants. The source said Meyer referred to himself as a “winner” and his assistants as “losers” after Jacksonville’s rough start to the season.

Meyer strongly denied the report Sunday in his press conference.

“Calling someone a loser, that is inaccurate,” Meyer said, per Jacksonville television station WJXT. “I have high expectations of our coaches.”

If Urban can somehow survive this season, he might just find his way in the NFL.

Maybe.

Jaguars owner Shad Khan plans to “stay the course” and keep Meyer for another season.
