Justin Jaynes made headlines this week as he reportedly bet his whole paycheck on himself (at around assuming +145 odds) in his fight against Charles Rosa.

Jaynes was quite public about the fact that he bet his whole paycheck on the fight and that he and his team would not be getting paid unless he won this week. That is some confidence!

He tried to finish the fight in the 3rd round with this flurry, but Rosa held it together.

Jaynes fought 14-5 Charles Rosa in a spirited three round affair. Unfortunately for Jaynes, he ended up losing the match and his paycheck with a split decision loss.

It’s wild that this sort of thing is allowed, but I’m assuming as long as you’re betting on yourself to win then what’s the harm. If you bet on your opponent, I am sure that’s when things could get messy.

Ultimately this could be the end of the road for Jaynes in the UFC after losing 4 fights in a calendar year.
