Due to the nature of the Tyler Zombro video, we’ll choose to keep it off of this post. But after the frightening moment, players all over the field knelt, and some began praying for the right-hander.
The scary moment occurred in the eighth inning when Norfolk’s Brett Cumberland hit one back up the middle.
The Durham Bulls released an update, saying Tyler Zombro is in ‘stable’ condition after being transported to a nearby hospital.

Zombro (26) was signed by the Tampa Bay Rays organization after going undrafted out of George Mason. On the year he is 1-1 with a 3.18 ERA.
Tyler Zombro had to be taken off the field in a stretcher, and we’ll continue to monitor for any updates in the coming hours, days, and weeks.
Prayers up for Tyler Zombro.
