FILE - Miami Heat guard Tyler Herro (14) celebrates a basket against the Boston Celtics late in the second half of Game 4 of an NBA basketball Eastern Conference final in Lake Buena Vista, Fla., in this Wednesday, Sept. 23, 2020, file photo. The Miami Heat guard was preparing to become a father for the first time and if that wasn’t enough, he’d see his name linked to trades all over Twitter along with unfounded rumors about his personal life and how he wasn’t taking basketball seriously. It wasn’t fun. But those days, he believes, are over. The baby is here, his head is clear and as Heat camp looms, Herro says he’s planning for this to be his best season. (AP Photo/Mark J. Tyler Herro wants the disrespect to stop.

The Miami Heat guard indicated that the perception that the Heat’s trip to the finals two years ago was a fluke is wrong, and the team deserves respect.

Tyler spoke about the perceptions as the Heat are firmly entrenched as the #1 seed.

Watch below:

Tyler Herro was a rookie during the 2020 postseason, which because of the pandemic, took place within a bubble in Orlando, Fla., where they were the fifth seed in the Eastern Conference.

Herro played really well, but he appeared to come back down to earth last season.

Primarily coming off the bench, Herro is currently having his best year yet.

In 57 games and 10 starts, Herro is averaging 21.0 points, 4.8 rebounds, 3.8 assists per game and is connecting on his shots from beyond the arc at a rate of 39.3 percent.
