ESPN seems to be losing a lot of their talent recently. First, Dan Le Batard announced he’s leaving the network at the end of the year. Now, Tom Rinaldi is planning on leaving ESPN. Rinaldi will be joining Fox Sports.

Had a tremendous, heartfelt conversation with Rinaldi last night. (They so often are) He’s so brilliant, so gifted and such an incredible teammate. More than that, he’s my friend. That won’t change.
I will miss his company & we will miss his talent. You got the best @FOXSports

Tom Rinaldi has been a staple for ESPN since he joined the station in 2002. He does College Gameday every week, and has also become a familiar voice in the world of golf.
Rinaldi spoke with The Athletic, and explained his decision to leave ESPN.
“It has been an awesome 19 years at ESPN. Absolutely phenomenal. This was a next in every shape that I just absolutely wanted to do. It’s a next step in some opportunities that I wouldn’t have had with any other entity. Fox has this world-class portfolio of events, many that I’ve never been a part of. There’s such a great allure in that. That’s really the core reason to be able to come over and try to contribute to these incredible events,” Rinaldi said.
Tom Rinaldi added that he made this move in November, and will join Fox Sports on Jan. 2. He’ll be working with Fox’s NFL coverage and college football’s “Big Noon Kickoff”. He’ll also have the opportunity to cover events such as the Daytona 500, MLB Playoffs, and the 2022 World Cup.
It sounds like Rinaldi will have his hands full at Fox. ESPN is losing a good one.
