Tom Brady credits his personal trainer, Alex Guerrero, for offering him with a unique training regime that focused on him playing at an elite level deep into his NFL career.

And even though he was still one of the very best quarterbacks in the entire NFL in his age-44 season, Brady officially announced on Tuesday that he was calling it a career.

While the NFL community swarmed social media to post about Tom Brady, Alex Guerrero offered up a joking thought: maybe it’s time to look for another job.

“Where to even begin? The past 16 years have meant more to me than I could’ve ever imagined. To think back to where we started makes it all seem like another lifetime. To not only be able to call you a business partner or a friend, but a brother is something I will never take for granted. Here’s to you TB. And to your incredible career. Thank you for letting me be a part of it all,” Guerrero penned in a heartfelt Instagram message.

“Currently updating my resume. Anyone out there looking for a body coach?”

Tom Brady was quick to respond with love to Alex Guerrero’s message

“Hahahahhaa love you @ag_tb12,” he wrote.

Tom Brady and Alex Guerrero were clearly onto something with their “TB12” training method. And it’s likely that his ability to age well (even when he was over 40 years old) was what put him over the edge in the GOAT conversation.

I’d expect that the duo will continue to try to appeal their methods to other athletes across different major sports.

And if Alex Guerrero is looking for a new project after Tom Brady, I’m sure he’d have many athletes lining up at his door.
