Tom Brady Reportedly Sent Tyrann Mathieu A Long Apology After On-Field Rift

Tom Brady solidified his spot at the greatest of all time last night in securing his seventh Super Bowl win against the Kansas City Chiefs. Brady is also one of the best trash talkers of all-time. When a defender gets in his face, Brady isn’t afraid to give it right back. So was the case with Chiefs DB Tyrann Mathieu during Super Bowl LV.

Matthieu even said Brady crossed the line with something he said.

While Tryann Mathieu deleted the tweet calling Brady out, he did get an apology from the GOAT.

Per ESPN:

Brady apologized to Mathieu for losing his composure in the moment of the game, of which Mathieu said, “I’ve never really seen that side of him.”

…Brady told Mathieu he’d watched him since his days at LSU, considered him a “class act” and a “great leader,” the source said. Brady said he wished he could have apologized in person, according to the source.

The source added that Brady said his outbursts in an emotional moment were in no way a reflection on his feelings toward Mathieu, whom he spoke of highly throughout the week leading up to the game.

Tom Brady is a different animal during the Super Bowl, and Matthieu got to see that first hand on Sunday night. Nice gesture by Brady and all, although I’m sure he’s not reaching out to Tyrann Mathieu had his team lost the game.
