Tom Brady Hopes To Hear Charles Barkley Talking Smack Again During “The Match” On Tuesday

Tampa Bay Buccaneers quarterback Tom Brady is hoping Charles Barkley tries smack talking him again during charity golf competition on Tuesday

During the last exhibition golf match that Tom Brady took part in, Charles Barkley was constantly talking smack to the quarterback for poor play.

When Brady holed out a shot from the fairway, he made sure to let Sir Charles know that he was listening to him the entire time.

Tom Brady is set to team up with Phil Mickelson against Aaron Rodgers and Bryson DeChambeau on Tuesday afternoon. And he hopes Charles Barkley can provide him with a little extra motivation, once again.

“I hope he starts talking trash on the practice range, because that definitely lit a fire under me,” Brady said Monday to Golf Digest. “Any time your golf swing gets insulted by Charles, you gotta take that to heart. I had a lot of insults, that was probably one of the worst insults I could imagine: Charles Barkley insulting my golf swing.”

Phil Mickelson (who has also paired up with Charles Barkley in the past) said that he expects some trash talk. But he knows Tom Brady can shut anyone up.

“The smack talk will be coming in on a high because Charles is coming in hot,” Mickelson said on the call Monday. “But you know what, I don’t think anybody can shut [Charles] up like Tom can shut him up.”

Sure enough, Charles Barkley all but guaranteed that he’d be letting Tom Brady have it. And he even thinks he would beat the GOAT in a match.

“I don’t think Tom can beat me in golf. I really don’t. Not right now he can’t,” Barkley said.

This looks like we might be setting up for a Tom Brady vs. Charles Barkley match in the future. But I think Tom probably wants to win another ring or two first, though.
