Tim Tebow Worked Out With An NFL Team As A Tight End

It’s no secret the Tim Tebow has a great relationship with Jaguars head coach Urban Meyer from their days together with the Florida Gators. But that doesn’t mean I was expecting this.

NFL insider Ian Rapoport is reporting that the former quarterback had a workout with Meyer’s Jaguars, but not as the position you would think. Tim Tebow is getting a look at tight end.

Tim Tebow recently reached out to the Jaguars and requested a tryout at the tight end position, per sources, a move many believe would have extended his NFL career had he made the transition earlier. He recently worked out with the Jaguars’ TE coach. No decision has been made.

For years, Tim Tebow insisted that he was not interested in switching positions…he wanted to play quarterback. Now, playing for Urban Meyer again might just be too cool for Tebow to pass up on.

He is now 33-years-old, and has probably lost some speed. But his size and strength might be able to make him a serviceable tight end in the league.

I think it would be pretty cool to see Tim Tebow back in the NFL under any circumstance. Especially if he’s playing for Urban Meyer again.
