Over the weekend, one of the most legendary boxers in the world, Marvelous Marvin Hagler, passed away. Now there’s rumors floating around that he could have died from complications after receiving the COVID 19 vaccine. Fellow boxer Thomas Hearns helped set the rumor in motion, he took to his Instagram account on Saturday and asked his followers to pray for Hagler, who he called “the king,” and his family.

“He’s in ICU fighting the after effects of the vaccine!” Hearns claimed in the post.

Hagler’s family announced that the 66-year-old boxer, who finished Hearns off in three rounds in a legendary 1985 fight, had died of “natural causes” and made no mention of a vaccine, reports The Daily Mail.

Hearns subsequently posted on social media:

“Allow us to have our peace. Our love and respect to Marvin and his family, this is not an anti vaccine campaign … It’s outrageous to have that in mind during the passing of a King, Legend, Father, Husband and so much more.”

No cause of death has been released.
