This Goalkeeper Scored An Incredible Effort Straight From His Own Goal!

Newport County goalkeeper Tom King scored one of the most outrageous goals you would see all season on Tuesday night.

Up against Cheltenham in a League Two encounter at Whaddon Road, King somehow managed to beat his opposite number Joshua Griffiths from just off his line!

That’s about 120 yards apart, but the Welshman will have a very deceiving bounce to thank for catching out his colleague from that far.

It didn’t help that the wind played a part, a huge gust floating the ball high up the pitch and somehow managed to outwit Griffiths. Just watch..

You have to feel for Griffiths, watching this again. That rash moment which came after just 12 minutes of play could rub off adversely on a keeper’s confidence for the rest of it.

He will have Matty Blair to thank for popping up with that very important equaliser.

Hope you enjoyed that, mate?😊😅
