The Rock Says People Thought He Was a Girl Growing Up

File this one under things you never thought you’d hear. WWE legend turned world’s most famous movie star The Rock is one of the manliest men on the face of the planet. There’s not many people that have more testosterones flowing through their veins.

The former pro wrestler said that people he met were often confused by his “soft features” as a child.

“I would say between the ages of 7 and 11, people thought that I was a little girl because I had really soft features and I had really soft Afro hair,” Johnson, who is black and Samoan, said on “Sunday Today with Willie Geist.”

The Rock, the son of pro wrestler Rocky Johnson, moved around so much as a child that he went to 13 schools by the time he entered high school.

He described one moment on the school bus on his first day of fifth grade.

“I sit down next to a kid, and within 60 seconds, he goes, ‘Can I ask you something?’” said Johnson. “I said, ‘Yeah.’ He goes, ‘Are you a boy or a girl?’”

The Rock is definitely not confused to be anyone else but himself.

He’s really a Man of among boys
