The NFL Pro-Bowl Has Some Pretty Cool Incentives

Optimal Betting Picks for Patrick Mahomes Tonight: Week 10 Sunday Night Football Prop Bets Chiefs vs. Raiders

It has been a mere eight months since Patrick Mahomes led Kansas City from a 24-0 hole to beat Deshaun Watson and the Houston Texans in the divisional round of the playoffs, a brutally efficient comeback that ultimately propelled the Chiefs to their first Super Bowl title in 50 years. I will be completely honest, I had no idea the NFL Pro-Bowl had any incentives, but I love this!

The NFL Pro-Bowl is usually the most boring game anyone could ever watch. For actual football fans, it’s like watching paint dry.

In comparison, the MLB All-Star game is always entertaining since the winner wins home field advantage for the playoffs; that’s massive.

The winners of the NHL All-Star game, which took place on Saturday, takes home a cool $1 Million. The Metropolitan division took home the money while Claude Giroux was named All-Star MVP who took home a new Honda vehicle.

The NBA All-Star game has their own incentives as they continuously try to improve their overall product including fantasy drafts and other fun things.

While most of the games are played at much slower speeds, the Pro-Bowl simply looks like what you would find at a YMCA with old people playing.

With all that said, it is cool to see that NFL does have some pretty fun incentives for players and teams.

While I am sure many players are making extra money for being named to the Pro Bowl, these donation incentives are inticing!

My favorite is the $2,500 donation to each offensive lineman’s charity if the team rushes for 100 yards.

I will probably have the Pro Bowl on in the background today while I get stuff done today.

The Pro Bowl skipped last season with the pandemic in full swing, but prior to that the AFC team won 38-33. The AFC team has also won 4 straight games.

The Pro-Bowl game starts at 3 PM EST on Sunday.
