Texans Receiver Will Fuller Announces on IG He’s Suspended

With social media, you can always get ahead of things. It’s a direct line of communication the to entire world. That’s what Will Fuller V was thinking, as he dropped the news that he’s been suspended for using performance enhancing substances. Fuller announced that he’s been suspended after taking what he thought was prescription medication.

“Earlier this year, I sought treatment from a medical professional who prescribed medication that he believed to be permitted under the NFL’s drug policy. As it turns out, my trust in this professional was misplaced because this medication was NOT a permitted substance under the NFL Policy on Performance Enhancing Substances.

“As a result of this mistake, I have been suspended for six games for taking this prohibited medication. I want to sincerely apologize to the Texans organization and all of my fans for this mistake. I am looking forward to putting this all behind me and returning better than ever in 2021.

“Thank you, Will.”

Since losing DeAndre Hopkins, Fuller has stepped up to be the Texans #1 receiver. DeShaun Watson’s fantasy value will be hurt a bit, but with not much to play for sitting at 4-7, the Texans have nothing to lose.

Cornerback Bradley Roby also has been suspended:

Houston has only five games remaining, so they both will also have to serve one game next season. A bad season for the Texans just got a little worse.
