Texans Receiver Anthony Miller Cut After Posting Cryptic Tweet

The Houston Texans announced they were releasing receiver Anthony Miller after he sent a cryptic message on his Twitter account on Tuesday

Anthony Miller has had a rough go in the NFL.

After showing a little bit of promise with the Chicago Bears, Miller was traded this offseason following his ejection during the team’s playoff game against the Saints last year.

He landed with the Texans. But that experiment has already come to an end, as well.

Anthony Miller was seldomly used for the rebuilding Texans, and took to social media to post a cryptic message on Tuesday night.

“The cream always rises,” he said.

On Wednesday morning, it was announced that the team was granting Anthony Miller his outright release.

Anthony Miller appeared in just two games for the Houston Texans.

He caught four passes for 20 yards and a touchdown during the team’s game against the Panthers. But he followed up that performance by catching just one pass for three yards during the 40-0 shellacking given by the Bills this past Sunday.

So far, Anthony Miller is being linked to the Patriots – who showed some interest in the offseason. But we’ll see if Bill Belichick is willing to take another chance on a guy with somewhat of a checkered history.
