Is LeBron James on his way out of Los Angeles?

After the All-Star break, it was reported that James’ agency, Klutch Sports, was fed up with Lakers general manager Rob Pelinka and how the team’s brass has handled roster decisions this year.

Now, reports are circling that LeBron James also has hit his boiling point with the organization.

Per Bill Oram of The Athletic:

“The situation is tense enough that one source close to the Lakers likened it to the early days of a war”

After the Trade Deadline, Rob Pelinka claimed LeBron James signed off on the team’s inactivity. But it’s been documented that Klutch Sports wanted Pelinka to pull the trigger on a trade centered around point guards Russell Westbrook and John Wall.

Following one of the Lakers’ disappointing losses to the Bucks prior to the All-Star break, he admitted that he didn’t think the Lakers have what it takes to make a run this season.

“Do I think we can reach the level where Milwaukee is right now? No,” James said. “They’re the defending champions for a reason. I guarantee if you would have asked teams coming out of the bubble if they could get the to the level we were at when we won a championship, they would have said the same thing.”

LeBron James is going to have to stick it out with the Lakers through this season. But it’s starting to look like he’s already mapping out another exit.
