Tammy Abraham, Ben Chilwell And Jadon Sancho In Hot Waters For Breaching Covid Rules, But Don’t They Deserve More Than This?

Tammy Abraham, Ben Chilwell and Jadon Sancho were in the news recently for having reportedly violated Covid-19 rules by throwing a birthday bash for the Chelsea striker who turned 23 on Friday. We can say this is a sequel development for a similar earlier occurrence which featured a certain Phil Foden and Mason Greenwood. You know that story. So nothing really to see here after all — just young English guys doing their thing.

But sure enough, the repercussions of their misdeamnour are looking to be stern yet. Not utterly grave though. The trio have been excused from the glamour October international games coming up versus Wales and Belgium, and you can agree they totally deserved it.

FA Hammer Falls On Sancho, Abraham And Chilwell

I’m even perplexed to realise that some folks do not seem to learn from a past ‘mistake’. For so long we are becoming accustomed to such trash, arrogance of the highest order from people who should be professionals, and they return with no punishments at all after having ‘apologized’. If that is it, then the FA can as well throw the whole f***ing Covid regulations outta the window as we can say they do not have the desired effect.

Even Mr Gareth Southgate is no longer pleased having to deal with his squad members damning consequences, wittingly breaching the rules and then apologizing there after. No. That shouldn’t be. Particularly for an association with a big profile such like the Three Lions.

I think what reoccurrences like this call for is a more severe punishment. Fines will do little but I believe a lengthy ban from international football, ( say a year or two) might just do the trick. For a passionate footballer, being ostracized from the national team for that long could be the worst possible doom. Only then could these rascals be called to order.
