Stephen Curry is the player kids want to be like these days.

For some, the only goal is to be the next Steph. Which is really only setting them up for disappointment because no one could shoot like Steph. But everyone thinks they can.

On the Knuckleheads podcast, Quentin Richardson and Darius Miles broached this topic with the Golden State Warriors superstar, who took the opportunity to make a funny plea to fans.

It’s not his problem people decide to shoot shots they can’t possibly make.

“I’m going to use this moment to get on my soapbox,” Curry said. “Stop tagging me in all these horrible basketball clips of people taking bad shots, telling me I ruined the game. I did not tell y’all to shoot that shot.”

Steph is one in a billion, most of the shots he takes can be considered low percentage, but for him it works.

Players need to figure out their own game, stop trying to throw up half courters like Steph.

We’ll have to wait and see how the Steph effect changes the game down the road…
