Steph Curry Pays Amazing #GirlDad Tribute To Kobe And Gianna Bryant For Wednesday’s Game

12 April 2013: Guard (24) Kobe Bryant of the Los Angeles Lakers drives to the basket past (30) Stephen Curry of the Golden State Warriors during the second half of the Lakers 118-116 victory over the Warriors at the STAPLES Center in Los Angeles, CA.

Add Steph Curry to the long list of NBA stars who have paid tribute to the late great Kobe Bryant this week. Yesterday was the one year anniversary of the mamba’s tragic helicopter crash that left him and daughter Gianna dead.

Steph Curry pulled out all the creativity with special shoes he’s wearing to honor Kobe and his daughter.

That may be one of the coolest tributes I’ve seen yet, those shoes are amazing. Like many NBA players, Steph Curry had a relationship with Kobe Bryant, and they shared a mutual respect. Steph definitely has the “mamba mentality” in him, as he is known to take shots from all over the place when he gets hot.

Steph recently shared a hilarious story about guarding Kobe Bryant during his rookie year.

“At the Forum [Warriors former home stadium] my rookie year we played against them [the Lakers] and I got switched onto him in an ‘iso’ situation, and, you know, I’m a scrawny, 170-pound rookie coming in, and the look he gave me was so damn disrespectful it was crazy,” the Warriors star shared via ClutchPoints.

Kobe Bryant is definitely missed by the NBA community. Steph Curry and other stars will continue to carry on his legacy for years to come.
