A car that appears to be owned by Bills WR Stefon Diggs was found abandoned near Miami train tracks over the weekend. Diggs, however, claims he has nothing to do with the incident. Law enforcement officials told TMZ that they responded to a call early Sunday morning of a Mercedes G-Wagon SUV that was sitting abandoned right near the Miami Airport Station. The car had Maryland license plates and is registered to Diggs.

Police said there was no indication of Diggs or anyone else being nearby, so they had the car towed. According to Stefon Diggs, he had let a friend borrow the vehicle. The friend apparently got a flat tire and called a tow company but fled the scene before help arrived. Diggs was informed of the situation and is now paying for the car to be repaired at a Mercedes-Benz dealership.

The entire situation sounds sketchy and quite bizarre. First of all, why in the world would Stefon Diggs agree to let a friend drive one of his cars down to Miami without him? Second, why would said friend call for help and then flee the scene before anyone arrived? It sounds suspicious and raises a lot of red flags and question marks in my mind. The fact that Stefon Diggs seemingly had no idea that his car was all the way down in Florida is crazy, too.

Stefon Diggs’ car was reportedly not stolen, but he denies any affiliation to the situation. Two things are for certain here. Number one: Stefon Diggs has to be pissed that he is paying to tow a car he allegedly lent to a friend in confidence. Number two: it sounds like Stefon Diggs may need to find some better friends.
