South Carolina Assistant Coach is Now the Team’s Starting Quarterback

Talk about sliding in. After an injury to Gamecocks’ starter Luke Doty, South Carolina Assistant Coach Zeb Noland was able to take advantage of a year remaining on his eligibility. The job wasn’t just handed to him, he actually beat out backup QB Jason Brown for the job.

There’s no telling whether or not he’ll remain with the QB job all season, but he’s been named the starter for South Carolina’s opener against Eastern Illinois.

Now that’s a pretty cool story.

And if he’s able to win some games, icing on the cake.
