Social Media Is Blowing Up After The Lakers Broadcast Used A Picture Of Isaiah Thomas Instead Of Russell Westbrook

Isaiah Thomas and Russell Westbrook…what a classic mix-up. Maybe not, but the Lakers broadcast somehow messed up, and used an image of IT instead of Russell Westbrook when they were announcing the Wizards’ lineup before the game.

While the Isaiah Thomas experiment in Washington didn’t really work out, Russell Westbrook has been heating up in recent games. The fiery point guard had his best game of the season during the team’s win over the Portland Trail Blazers on Saturday. He had 27 points, adding 11 rebounds and 13 assists. It was Westbrook’s eighth triple-double of the season.

While the Wizards are still a work in progress, they’re undoubtedly playing their best basketball of the season right now.

“Hey, stay locked in to what we’re doing,” Russell Westbrook said after the Portland game via ESPN. “Don’t get tired doing the same s—. Don’t get tired of it, don’t get bored, don’t get tired doing the same s—. This is what we do.”

If Russell Westbrook can keep his torrid run going, maybe he won’t get mistaken for Isaiah Thomas in the future.
