Ben Simmons is still hanging around with the Sixers.

And he might just be there a lot longer than planned.

In a report from Shams Charania and Sam Amick of The Athletic, it was confirmed that Simmons likely won’t be traded as the deadline. The Sixers are going hold on to him with the hopes he decides to suit up prior to the playoffs. If that doesn’t work out, which we know it won’t, the Sixers are planning to go all-in on Harden in the Summer.

A Harden for Simmons deal seems like wishful thinking for the Sixers.

They’ve been trying to get something in return for Simmons, but no one is willing to part with anybody of any significance.

At this point Simmons is damaged goods.
