Real Madrid captain Sergio Ramos could be on the move very soon.

Ramos is set to become a free agent over the Summer, and can now speak with other teams due to the fact that Madrid and Ramos couldn’t agree to an extension prior to the Jan. 1 deadline.

While Madrid has intentions to sign their centre back, negotiations have since stalled, according to El Chitinguito. In that report, it was said that Ramos was offered two different contracts from Madrid. The first offer would be a one-year deal and he’d be keeping his yearly salary the same. The second offer given to Ramos was a two-year deal where he would have to take a slight pay cut.

Real Madrid manager Zinedine Zidane recently spoke about his desire to keep Ramos on the club for the long term.

“Yes, we all want [contracts to be signed],” Zidane said via GOAL. “We want the situation to be sorted as quickly as possible. It’s in everyone’s interests, it would be good for everyone, so hopefully it can be sorted out quickly.”

Sergio Ramos has already solidified himself as a legend for Real Madrid. The captain has been one of the most clutch players in La Liga history, leading his club to five titles since he was signed in 2005.

It is reported that Manchester United and Tottenham have already expressed interest in the 35-year old Ramos, if he were to leave Real Madrid.
